The Only Way to Travel to Your Past Connections

Union station was a big hub of commotion filled with stories selling everything from food to DVD's to Christmas decorations. It felt more like a mall that just happened to have a train run through it then an actual station. There were three layers to the platform the first was a mixture of food and typical items one might buy on vacation such as souvenirs and new movies. The third floor was filled with clothing and more specific needs such as the previously mentioned Christmas decorations. The final floor witch requires you to take an escalator down to was a food court filled with options ranging from ice cream to hot dogs in pretzel buns.

In the entrance if one was to ignore the street vendors selling their souvenirs the could see the statues that line the canopy atop the door ways. Some carry shield and other relics that point back to the ancient past. One can't help but wonder what they mean and who or what they might represent. There is a feeling a vague lingering feeling that they must be important if someone included them but the more one tries to fathom why the more questions that come to mind. That's one of the beautiful yet frustrating things about Union station and in truth all of D.C., it's all important but it's really up to you to figure out why.
