The Capital's Landscape

The Capital

Walking across the street,
Walking towards the Capital.
Seeing it with all its glory,
Heading for the Capital.

Checking for cars and buses,
Eyes set on the Capital.
Closing the distance rapidly,
Moving towards the Capital.

Only a minute away now,
There it stands, the Capital.
It casts a massive shadow,
Running towards the Capital.

Moving closer and closer,
Staring at the Capital.
What will be on the inside?
Slowly reaching the Capital.

Finally, reaching the stairs,
Marveling at the Capital.
Others are here alongside you,
Carefully studying the Capital.

Well, why are you waiting?
Go and see the Capital.
Guards stand at the door,
They say, "Welcome to our Capital."

After you've entered the inside,
The great expanse of the Capital.
Smells and colors surround you,
The frontier that is the Capital.

Families taking pictures,
Remembering the Capital.
Others are silently watching,
Examining the Capital.

You don't know which way to turn,
You're lost inside the Capital.
Every direction is a new journey,
The book that is the Capital.

Beyond, the streets are busy,
Beyond, outside the Capital.
Everyone on their daily routine,
Moving past the Capital.

After you've seen what there is to see,
You've understood the Capital.
It's time to write another story.
It's time to leave the Capital.

As you walk out the front door,
Behind you, there's the Capital.
You know you'll never forget it.
You'll never forget the Capital.
